Diamond City Soleil

diamond-city.jpg

Located on the site of Kirin's former beer factory which closed in 1998 is mega-mall shopping at its finest. All the shopping you could wish for all in one building. After its opening on February 24, 2004, only a token beer restaurant was left of Kirin's presence. Diamond City's core tenants are the department store, Jusco and a megaplex called Wald 11 (or Vault 11 in Japanese) which is run by T-Joy.

Other highlights are:

  • Namco Land. (A large and tasteful pachinko parlor)
  • BABIES-R-US
  • Futaba (a giant book, cd and dvd store)
  • Maria Maria
  • Eddie Bauer
  • Sports Authority

Hours

The shopping mall is open from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm. Jusco, Futaba and the restaurants stay open an hour later. The theater is open until the last movie is shown.

Location

2-1-1 Fuchu Town, Aki-gun, Hiroshima-ken

From Tenjingawa Station (one stop east of JR Hiroshima Station) it is a 5 minute walk to Diamond City. Some express trains do not stop at Tenjingawa.
